I converted all my inside lights over to fluorescent lights, makes it a lot brighter, and uses far less volts.

RE: Dummy with a Diesel

Sorry - you lost me with: 5) Have the dealer turn on the high idle feature and teach you how to use it. 6) At the same time, they can turn on such niceties as DLR's, fog lights and high beams. A good dealer will do this for free for you. I am guessing that 5) might only pertain to the 6.7. I have no idea what 6) is about. If I want fog lights on or hi beams, I hit the switch. My acronym for DLR is Digital Layout Record - nothing to do with my Cummins. I am sure they meant to say "DRL" daytime running lights. Your price for an oil change, sounds pretty cheap, actually. I had a TRUCK SERVICE place try to charge me allmost $300.00 for a "P.M.", and oil change ......I hit the roof....did not pay it either!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Blown Fuse or Blown Breaker?

See, I told you I was new to this... I will check to see. Where is the breaker usually located? There is a black plastic cover in the kitchen. I will check it out. Usually, under the plastic cover, there is a set of breakers, and some 12 volt fuses, that is your power supply. Sounds like you may have blown a fuse, or tripped a breaker.

RE: Garmin GPS

Well, I must have "solo-ed" under a luck star then.......:h........ I have had Very few issues, with GARMIN (I own 3 of them) :W and when I had ANY Issues, I called Garmin, was treated VERY politely, they looked up my REGISTERED units, and said "Oh, I see you are due for an update, and SENT me a UPDATE CD, FREE of charge!!!!!!!!!!!:B I had an issue a couple of years ago, one of the units suction cups, MELTED to the windshield............. They sent me a free new mount(with powercord) and said if that did not do it, they would send me a Sand bag --dash mount. I even had a TECH go so far out of his way, with my Old laptop, that HE CONNECTED with my laptop, fixed some issues so I could down load new software, and then ASKED if he could help me any other way!!!!!!!:E:B I asked to talk to his Supervisior, because I had NEVER been treated so WELL, by a company, on the phone !!!!!!!!!!! I told her " YOU had better keep this guy happpy, because he is VERY commited to customer service"!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are still a few people out there who do their jobs, and do them over and above !!!!!!!!!!!!:W

RE: Do Not Use Generators Inside

As an aside to this, the Local Private school(catholic) uses a Honda EU3000is to power their conscession trailer, and they have used it in the rain for years, with no problems.......... and , there are people all around while it is running, no worries.

RE: Fixing water damage on the old Dodge (pics)

Just a small update today. Figured I show you what the back end looks like now with the plywood off. The 2x2s in there do NOT want to come out. They must have used the good glue back here at the factory. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk271/Spectramac/rv70.jpg Here's what the yard is looking like, and that's only a little over half of it! http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk271/Spectramac/rv71.jpg Hey, looks like a YARD SALE, in my old neighbor hood!!!!!!!!!!!:h I moved FAR away from that area!!:B Man, you are nuts, BUT, we are proud of you!!!!!!!!!!

RE: CSP - Need Help in Understanding

Does your trailer come with a 1 year warranty? I know ours is a different brand but the 2 year warranty began when we purchased it new in September '07, even though it is an '07 and the '08s were already out. We chose to forgo the extended warranty on this TT.I would think your manufacturer's warranty should cover you until you have had your trailer 1 year. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, I am just speaking from my own experience. Happy camping! My trailer came with a 2 year warranty. Unfortunately my manufacture (Weekend Warrior) has closed down. So if I have issues with axles, frame, anything structural may the dealer may not be willing to fix it because they will not get reimburse by the manufacture. Actually, the Axles, and Frame should be covered by the Manufactures of those items. Things inside it , should be covered by the items Manufacturer............Now the trailer itself......... well, different story!!!!!!:S

Regardless of what ANYONE SAYS................(and I have a Prodigy, and LOVE IT !!!) I .. CAN NOT SAY THIS STRONG ENOUGH WOULD NOT WANT MY TRAILER BRAKES TO LOCK UP !!!!!!!!!!!!! HMMMMM, why are anti lock brakes ALL THE RAGE NOW???????????????:h There are many variables, being talked about here, and they need to be looked at, in a logical order, as stated here, BUT............... I still stand by what I said...PERIOD 26 Years in the FIRE SERVICE, I cannot tell you the number of times I have seen SKID MARKS........... leading up to the CRASH SCENE!!!!!!!!!:E..:W

RE: Can't lock up rewired trailer brakes - what did I miss?

I would put money on the controller. Sometimes the Prodigy simply will not lock up the brakes. That is one reason I hate the Prodigy. Mike WOW, In an EMERGENCY, the LAST thing you want, IS LOCKED BRAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( IE ANTI-LOCK brakes), locked tires skid................ I would not want that -no how--no way !!!:E

RE: Taking two truck spaces at Flying J

It is interesting, that this thread continues with it's bashing, ( by some ) EVEN after the O.P. Stated the 30 OTHER spots that REMAINED open all night. If Truck stops did not want us, they would NOT have CAR ISLANDS, RV spots, water, propane, sit down meals,....etc............ It would be ALL TRUCK LANES, and greasy food, served by "Maude" !!!! Wal-Mart lives on, with another name. She did alright, she did not pull into a PACKED truck stop, and jamb her slides into parked trucks, or park in front of them, to piss them off. More power to her.

RE: Ten weeks and counting!

OH, You are going to HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All that warm sunshine, you will have to wear sunglasses, buy tanning lotion, bugs to deal with, wear little clothes (compared to MN), find shade to sit in, play golf, hike, sit around do nothing................. Glad I don't have to WORRY about that for a few more years!!:) I would not wish this on anyone !!!!!
